Windhorse Bio
Riding between the high-energy swirls and the grooving bass is where you will find the spirit of Windhorse. Synthesizing electronica and rock with a part-time horn section, the occasional violin, a dusting of world music influences, and an abiding sense of the universal, the Chattanooga, Tennessee based one-man-band has been crafting deep and personal musical adventures for almost 20 years. With the honest and expressive guitar of Dirk Singleton guiding the listener through the instrumental EDR (electronic dance rock) of Windhorse each track is like a journey with an old friend. Whether the music is gliding through hypnotic valleys, soaring over resonant peaks, or flowing along the ethereal springs, the sense of playfulness and joy are abiding. The artist’s debut album Into the Now was completed in January 2015, though due to a hand injury, live support was delayed indefinitely. Currently, work on material for the follow up, The Lotus and the Lodestone, is well under way. And finally, after 4 long years, Windhorse is arranging and rehearsing a deep and fluid live set to embark on a tour during the winter of 2020 and beyond.
